New York TASC Test Sites ES

ES If you’re ready to take the final steps in finishing your New York High School Equivalency, there are several TASCTM test sites in NYC and other cities.

As of January, 2014 New York replaced the GED® test with TASC test. The TASC test is now the only high school equivalency test offered in New York.

The New York State High School Equivalency Office instructs candidates ready to take the exam to e-mail the test site at which they want to take the test for scheduling. The site will reply to the candidate with the date and time they are scheduled to take the TASC. Your local adult education center will also be able to help you find a nearby testing location.

Candidates who have previously passed a GED subtest in 2012 or 2013 have until the end of 2015 to apply up to four GED test results to the completion of their New York high school equivalency. If the candidate has passed all five GED subtests, but not achieved a total score of 2250, he or she must pass one TASC subtest to complete the New York high school equivalency diploma.

For a complete list of TASC test sites in all New York cities, go to http://www.acces.nysed.gov/. For those who live in New York City, there are several TASC test sites and testing centers convenient to candidates via public transportation.

In the New York area, the best place to get started is with a local adult education center. The teachers at your local center will offer you free help to learn about the test, study for the test, and pass every section. They’ll help you every step of the way as you complete your high school equivalency diploma.
